The Kincardine Bridge is a road crossing further up the River Forth than the Forth Bridges which feature on this website.
Now marking its 90th anniversary, the bridge was opened to traffic at noon on the 29th October 1936 by the Conveners of Fife, Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire.

The most notable feature of the Kincardine Bridge was the movable swing span which provided two openings to allow river traffic to pass beneath. The final opening of the bridge was in January 1988, witnessed by hundreds of people who gathered to watch the historic occasion.
